Job Details
Have you seen the news?
Everyone is talking about COP26 and the effects of climate change.
Consequently, the environment, sustainability, and renewable energies are at the forefront of everyone’s mind.
So, here’s me, looking at you Sustainability Managers – it’s your time to shine.
And, I bet you know that too…
How many messages a day do you get from recruiters telling you about the next big opportunity? Or that they have the perfect role for you? Probably enough to start ignoring them.
Well, I do hate to be one of ‘those’ recruiters – so I will let the role sell itself.
You can be based anywhere – yes anywhere – in the UK (including the Chanel Islands), this is a 100% home working role. For the occasional time you may be onsite, you have a company car to get there & interesting holiday locations to go to (Northern Ireland & Cornwall to name a few).
You will be part of a completely new Team within the Salvation Army – the Property Programme Management Office. The role is primarily about creating and implementing a sustainability strategy for the entire property portfolio (that’s 3000 buildings).
3000 properties = Variety, who else will be working on a church one day, the next a farm, a shop, residential properties or, well you get my point.
You will be looking at sustainability initiatives, energy consumption & reduction strategies and renewable energy initiatives.
The role is all about educating those around you as well, you will be creating training programmes to keep colleagues informed of the world of sustainability
The catch (if you can call it that), is a degree level qualification & some relevant experience is necessary to move forward with the application process.
If the role wasn’t already appealing enough, benefits as previously mentioned include a company car, and a 35-hour working week.
If you want to learn more about being part of the new sustainable movement, then apply below, or reach out on LinkedIn (Bekah Pauley) .
Oyster Partnership have partnered exclusively with The Salvation Army. Any direct or third-party applications will be forwarded to Oyster Partnership.
