Building Surveyor

Why am I giving you definitions?  

Well, because The Salvation Army is the embodiment of the word Charity. 

With a property portfolio of over 3000 buildings, comprising of shops, residential buildings, homelessness accommodation, care homes and offices, the scope of their impact cannot be overestimated.  

How do you fit into this?  

Well, they need a Building Surveyor. And that Building Surveyor, could be… you.  

I won’t bore you too much with the details of the role, I hope you know the basics as you’re doing the job already. But what I will tell you, is that client relationships and coordination are key aspects. 

Working within the property Team, you will have full support from the Estates Manager, but will be autonomous across your region, Scotland.  

As mentioned, the role is regional, mainly home based, but on the occasional time, just imagine your picturesque views while travelling to site, in you company car – yes you read that right, you get a company car with this role.  

As you may have seen above, the variety of buildings is also sure to get your pulse racing, no one else will be working on a church one day & a farm the next.  

Your projects will range from 300-400k and majority of this will be planned and cyclical works.  Although you will have no direct line management, you will also be liaising with contractors across the portfolio.
