Head of Sustainability - Plymouth

Flexible opportunity for a Head of Sustainability to join a provider of higher education based in Plymouth

Your new company
As a Head of Sustainability you will join an Estates & Facilities team responsible for the capital development, improvement and efficiency of a varied portfolio of buildings.

Your new role
Reporting to the Director of Estates and Facilities, you will take ownership of the universities strategic sustainability and climate emergency programme. You will maintain a holistic overview of the universities environmental and sustainability performance in collaboration with key stakeholders. You will input across carbon reduction minor projects whilst working with academics and other key stakeholders to help drive the sustainability agenda.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will need to have a background in, and knowledge of, carbon footprinting, climate change, and mitigation / calculations. Experience of managing a corporate social responsibility programme would be advantageous, as well as an understanding of environment legislation.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a 12 month interim contract offering a daily rate of pay negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
