Due to continuous growth, our Legal and General Surveying Services business are expanding the Digital central team. We are looking for several RICS qualified, analytical, and target driven surveyors to join as a Digital Surveyor, with multiple locations on offer.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the Digital valuations of residential properties on behalf of (predominantly) Mortgage Lenders in accordance with professional (RICS), Legal & General Surveying Services and Clients guidelines and procedures. You'll act as the Technical expert, able to advise on regional and UK wide residential property regarding mortgage ability and saleability.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead in the completion of Digital valuations, and prepare valuations reports in accordance with best professional practice, to minimise the financial and reputational risk to Legal & General Surveying Services. Liaise with all support staff to ensure that valuations are carried out and reports prepared in accordance with agreed turnaround times and SLA’s ensuring the overall standard is achieved. Accountability for full limits, to the value of £3,000,000.
  • To achieve business targets in terms of the SLA of valuations carried out, to meet client requirements.        
  • To work with projects teams analysing research within the specialist function, to enable new propositions to be submitted to our lender clients. Prepare Management Information and continuous improvements statistics/implementations. Utilise technical expertise to provide informed judgement and outcomes from research and analysis.
  • Undertake enough training, both internally and externally, to satisfy the CPD requirements of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and any further specific retraining prescribed by the company by completing the compulsory number of training hours per annum.
  • Consider the needs of the target markets for products and tailor the service proposition to meet those needs effectively.

What we're looking for

  • To have and maintain RICS Membership (AssocRICS/MRICS/FRICS) and to be a Residential Registered Valuer
  • Good knowledge of Valuation of UK residential property for first charge mortgage lending 
  • Good knowledge of Survey and valuation products and processes
  • Good knowledge of residential surveying and experience of field-based surveying activities
  • Sound knowledge of property and construction types and their acceptability by our key lender clients for Mortgage Purposes
  • Good understanding of the UK housing market and Legal and General Surveying Services’ relationship with client lenders
  • Telephony based customer service would be desirable
