Asset Management Surveyor

Estates Services, The Malthouse, Tidmarsh Lane, Oxford

Grade 8: £42,149 - £50,296 (with a discretionary range to £54,943) per annum

Are you an experienced commercial surveyor looking for an opportunity to work client-side on a large and diverse Oxford-based property portfolio? Are you a great communicator and team player, looking to develop your professional skills and experience in a supportive environment?

We are seeking a self-motivated, highly capable and well organised commercial surveyor to join the Asset Management team, the in-house property consultants to the University.  Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you will be dealing with a varied and interesting caseload, on a diverse property portfolio including some 450 assets in a range of commercial, residential and institutional use. The role offers the chance to work with a wide range of stakeholders across the University and beyond, supporting the delivery of the University’s research and innovation programme and the management of its investment property portfolios.

The team has a wide ranging remit that offers the opportunity to work with many different professional and academic disciplines. Our management of the commercial estate not only provides an income stream but is primed to support the delivery of the University’s future innovation districts. We work closely with the Legal Services Estates team, on cases ranging from strategic asset management opportunities, to leasing and landlord and tenant matters, the management of rolling programmes for valuations, and general estate management.

As a client-side surveyor, managing external consultants where needed, you will be working as part of a team where you will be supported to develop your professional skills and experience, as well as your own personal development through training opportunities offered through the wider University.

We are looking for a candidate with an appropriate RICS qualification with substantial relevant commercial property experience. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver best practice solutions, with an excellent working knowledge of current property legislation.

Full details of the role, including employee benefits, can be found in the Job Description.

Applications for this vacancy should be made online and you will be required to upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your application.

Only applications received by 12:00 noon on Monday 17 January 2022 will be considered.
