Retrofit Project Researcher position available joining the Somerset Retrofit Accelerator Project - Mendip

Your new company
As a Retrofit Project Researcher you will join Mendip District Council, also working in partnership with Frome Town Council in Somerset. The Somerset Retrofit Accelerator project is an initial 6 month position, a project aimed at engaging with all parts of the supply chain involved in whole house low carbon home retrofit - from homeowners through to building supply merchants.

Your new role
Evaluation is a key component of this project, and is specified within the project funding from the funder. As the Researcher you will deliver the evaluation element of this project, which will run throughout the programme. You will be able to demonstrate the impact of an innovative pilot working alongside a steering group and other key stakeholders. Your evaluation programme will include review of evidence needs (baseline), evaluation of individual activities, and wider research.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this post you will need to have a background in research, this should include quantitative research methods. Further to this, you'll need to have a degree in a relevant environmental or social subject, or equivalent work experience.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an initial 6 month contract offering 3 days per week work across this time-frame. You'll be paid a competitive daily rate of pay for your work which could be offered to you either as a fixed payment (at intervals) or as a daily rate paid to you on a weekly basis. You'll be able to work from home in this role, although occasional travel to Somerset locations may be required across the course of your contract.
