A position has been created for a chartered building surveyor to join a well-established, boutique and very successful consultancy in the West End.
The business is an innovative and forward-thinking consultancy, with a very impressive track record of delivering building surveying and project management services to a portfolio of private clients. These clients range from blue-chip corporate occupiers, developers, estates and institutional investors. The business employs 27 professionals and is led by a charismatic, entrepreneurial managing director and supported by three Directors leading the traditional service lines.
The Building Surveying team is 5 strong. They are proactive, have a “one for all” culture which means not one person is left on their own to get on with duties unless of course, this is something that they desire. This team offers full building surveying consultancy services from acquisition, contract administration through to schedules of condition, party wall, dilapidations and more.
The role will entail a 65% to 35% split across project and professional services across, commercial, residential, retail and office property. As you progress into a more senior appointment, you’ll be expected to engage more with clients and take on a more business-minded approach to your role.
You will be MRICS and ideally 12-24 months PQE. Less would be considered subject to the candidate’s experience. You will have a good understanding of all areas of building surveying, especially contract administration and are confident in client facing scenarios. You will be a team player, are passionate about your role and keen to progress to a more senior level.
