Carriera are recruiting for a strong Project Manager to join a major player in the property sector. Our client is looking for an individual to join their 18 strong team in Cambridge that works closely with landlords and developers in commercial and education, media science and technology on project up to £250million. They are a progressive practise with a close-knit feel and are looking for a hungry, exceptional leader to make a significant impact within the Project Management team.

About the role:

You will be expected to provide high quality project and programme management standards across the whole project lifecycle as well as advise clients on the project cost, programme risks and issues. You will implement effective and efficient communications, set the pace and monitor all deliverables at every stage to ensure quality service is delivered. You will have responsibility for the commercial success of projects under your control and provide guidance, leadership and technical expertise to team members. 

You will also advise on/implement the selection and appointment of all necessary consultants and specialists as well as interviewing and selecting contractors for tendering or negotiation. You will evaluate tenders received and appoint contractors. You will also be expected to inspect and monitor the construction works regarding quality and conformity to agreed specifications and drawings. 

About you:

You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complicated issues between clients and highly skilled project teams as well as consultancy construction project management experience. You will have a BSc or MSc in a relevant project management related subject and be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Project. 

You must have the proven ability to lead a series of projects and manage client relationships as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills. You must be a professional member of a recognised institute such as MRICS or MAPM and experience of administering standard UK building contracts such and JCT or NEC forms. You must also have a valid full UK driving license.
