Repair & Void Surveyor role available working for a provider of affordable housing in Somerset - Long term

Your new company
As a Repair & Voids Surveyor you will be working for an organisation responsible for the management and maintenance of over 4000 homes located across the Somerset region - these include over 100 flats owned by leaseholders and over 50 bought under the shared ownership scheme.

Your new role
Your role as a Repair & Voids Surveyor will be varied, and is critical to ensure homes are maintained to the highest possible standard. You will undertake initial property inspections in order to diagnose defects and advise on the required course of action - this will mean liaising with the tenant and often a specialist contractor, before managing works comprehensively overseeing cost, quality and timescales.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you may have a background in Building Surveying, Property Maintenance, or Construction Project Management, ideally working within a housing environment. It would be preferable to have an HNC / HND or equivalent in construction or building, although this is not essential.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an initial contract with duration of between 12 - 26 weeks initially, although this is highly likely to extend further, and could progress into a permanent post. Further to this you will receive a competitive hourly rate of pay, and will be able to take advantage of annual leave entitlement as well as pension contributions.
