Derbyshire County Council is looking to appoint a progressive, ambitious Senior Valuer to organise and carry out valuations of the properties comprising the Council’s land and property portfolio in accordance with CIPFA and RICS guidelines in order to meet the Council’s statutory obligations in respect of Asset Valuations. You will also provide professional and technical advice on real estate issues to senior managers and client departments, as well as assist in the management the Council's property portfolio in order to promote best value in the use of Derbyshire County Council's land and property assets.
You will be working in a high profile area of the business that is front and centre in terms of the Council’s plan. You will be line managed through an ambitious Principal Asset Valuer who has transformed the team and is at the forefront of the industry. With their commercially focused approach, you will be supported and given the opportunity to deliver services with internal stakeholders across the Council’s portfolio of 4,500 assets with a value of £1.8 billion.
You will be liaising with key internal stakeholders and working in an established, ambitious, experienced and professional team in one of England’s most beautiful areas, including the Peak District National Park, with flexibility as to the mix of home and offices working, with offices based in picturesque Matlock and across the County.
