To develop, lead and deliver an effective strategy for a national estate programme of change based infrastructure projects.

Client Details

Our client is a public sector organisation within the military & defence arena based out of Birmingham.


The Estates Project Manager will be responsible for designing and delivering a strategy that will allow a varied portfolio of infrastructure improvement projects to be delivered across a national estate.

This will include working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that these projects are delivered both on time and within budget.

You will need to ensure that the strategy that you deliver aligns with the wider objectives of the organisation and that it's commercially viable. This will potentially involve wholesale changes to the current system of delivering some of these projects.

The projects included in the capital programme include significant infrastructure upgrades to existing facilities across the estate as well as the installation of brand new infrastructure across the estate.


The ideal applicant for this Estates Project Manager role will hold a professional project management qualification such as APM and/or membership such as CIBSE, CIOB, ICE, RICS or equivalent.

Applicants will need to have prior experience of delivering a volume programme of projects with a value of up to £10m and have excellent stakeholder management skills and be capable of influencing and driving wholesale change.

It would be highly advantageous to have experience of working within or contracting to the MOD or a similar organisation.

The role is based out of Birmingham and will require some national travel.

Job Offer

A salary of £40,000 is on offer and the successful applicant will also receive a 13% pension contribution from the employer and enjoy a true flexible working policy.

Interviews will take place in late January.
