Quantity Surveyor

Our client is an award-winning property and construction consultancy who opened their doors almost 40 years ago, and since then they have successfully made their stamp delivering projects worldwide. Their speciality lies within urban renewals, regeneration schemes and renovations with a portfolio of English heritage projects as well.

There is now a space in the Hospitality and Leisure team for a Quantity Surveyor to join. You will be based in their office in West London and be expected to travel to various residential and public sector sites across London.

Aspects of your role will include:

Maximising the levels of value and cost certainty in projects.Reporting on project financials at all levels to both internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring the accuracy and reliability of your data. Producing pricing models.Producing cash flow forecasting.Producing management reports and communicating progress and forecasts.Undertake benchmarking and comparison analysis. Negotiating with supply chain membersProducing template pricing schedules. Collaborating and managing external stakeholders in order to understand and fulfil the client's needs. Proactive in identifying risk and putting in place a robust mitigation strategyProducing tender documents, schedules of rate.Attending sites, as well as internal and external meetings.Undertaking general pre and post contact cost management duties. Aware of and keep up to date with relevant legislation which affects the properties managed by our clients.Assisting in promoting sustainable thinking to our clients and have a basic level of understanding as to how to integrate sustainable thinking into our projects.

Requirements:

Have a Quantity Surveying Degree awarded by a UK university and accredited by the RICSMRICS qualified with a minimum of 2 years experience Demonstrable experience in the full life cycle of projects. Solid understanding and experience of a variety of procurement routes.Demonstrable line management experience.Good knowledge of Cost X or other construction management software.Solid organisational and management skills.Have advanced excel skills with the capability of linking spreadsheets, producing graphical reports, lookup formulae and analysis.Strong technical quantity surveying knowledge.Demonstrable ability to multi task and work on multiple projects at any one time.Able to work effectively using your own initiative and manage your own workload efficiently.Experience of the hospitality sector.Full clean driving license.You're willing to travel nationally and potentially internationally.
