To support the delivery of Yorkshire Water’s land strategy which will involve; acquisition of rights required for capital projects or operational needs, management and disposal of land ensuring compliance with statutory or other drivers, delivering good customer service & minimising cost to the business.

Key Accountabilities

Some of the key responsibilities you will have will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the provision of professional and technical advice to support the delivery of the capital programme as requested alongside delivery of key targets within the business as defined by the Yorkshire Water land strategy As directed by the Estates Planning Manager, provide estate management support across Yorkshire Water’s diverse estate as and when required. Work with the Land & Property team to seek and progress commercial and efficiency opportunities arising from the estate, thinking creatively and innovatively. Drive excellent standards, behaviours and performance in Health & Safety, Risk Management and conduct at work ensuring compliance with YW safety policy. Support the PMO in providing technical support and timely info transfer to progress the capital programme to deliver on time and on budget 

Knowledge and Skills Required

Essential

  • Professional or AssocRICS membership of RICS, CAAV or Qualified Project Manager A track record of delivering results against challenging targets Excellent negotiation skills A demonstrable ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as excellent team working skills. Excellent customer service skills A proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight timescales by good prioritisation and time management skills Clearly able to demonstrate Yorkshire Water’s Big Ambition by living the behaviours An extensive knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements relating to the ownership, management and disposal of land and property An understanding of property legislation and processes Strong competence with IT systems

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Company IT systems (SAP, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Outlook, Odyssey, etc.)
