Your new company
A Local Authority based in Nottingham are looking to appoint an interim Property Manager starting immediately. The role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday and initially until April 2022 but likely to be extended. The purpose of this role is sole management of a predominantly industrial portfolio which also includes retail units in neighbourhood shopping centres.

Your new role
In this role you will proactively support the Council's corporate asset management plan objectives including providing professional property advice, supporting property related projects and conducting valuations to ensure the day-to-day management of the Council's Property Trading Portfolios and support the delivery of creative property solutions that are commercially viable and robust.

You will be required to undertake estate management duties and deal with day-to-day estate management issues with respect to the identified portfolio of Council assets (mainly industrial but also retail units in neighbourhood shopping centres. These duties including recovery of arrears, undertaking inspections, tenant liaison, asset management, negotiation with occupiers, purchasers and developers.

What you'll need to succeed

• MRICS with post qualification experience suitable to the level of the post.
• Experience of asset valuations, estate management, negotiation and provision of professional property advice and transactions.
• Ability to analyse property issues, identify solutions and recommend and implement appropriate action.
• An understanding of the importance of performance management to deliver continued improvement to a property portfolio.

What you'll get in return
You will work for a large Local Authority in Nottingham looking after a significant portfolio of diverse property assets. You will be compensated with a good rate of pay and have some flexibility in terms of home working and hours of work. Whilst the position is only initially signed off until April 2022 it is highly likely that this will be extended far beyond this. The role will sit inside of IR35.
