This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of new construction projects in a dynamic and modern City which offers a unique quality of life.
Education, arts, and culture have been central to recent developments, while the City is also a world leader in the fields of biotechnology and digital media. Dundee is the UK's first UNESCO City of Design, it was named the coolest little City in Britain by GQ magazine and described as one of seven cities to watch by CNN.
The Building Standards Team has a key role in transforming the City and has been heavily involved in the delivery of the £1 billion project to transform Dundee into a world-leading waterfront destination. A key component of this project was the successful delivery of the Kengo Kuma-designed V&A Dundee, which has attracted international attention.
Further exciting and complex construction development opportunities lie ahead, with some forming part of the now-signed £300 million Tay Cities Deal. The Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc and Eden Project Dundee are further examples of Dundee’s bold and creative ambition.
You can be part of this exciting journey, helping to facilitate these opportunities and ensure construction developments within the City are designed and built to meet safety standards, further sustainable development and energy efficiency.
