THE ROLE

I am seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor, MRICS qualified to join a dynamic firm of PQS in Kent.

My client has managed to keep busy and even grow during the period of the pandemic and is continuing to grow and will offer great prospects for someone to move up to Director level.

You will work on new build, refurbishment, fit out and masterplanning across projects of various sizes from £500K to c. £80m.

Projects are very varied including refurbishment of London offices, education, healthcare, masterplanning for developers, infrastructure and industrial.

You will run projects plus supervise and mentor others as well as getting involved in networking, business development etc.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing project management, building surveying and cost management services to private and public sector clients.

They work on projects for education, healthcare, commercial offices, masterplanning, industrial and some infrastructure.

They are currently around twenty people and are looking to grow to around thirty over the next 12 - 18 months offering great prospects for ambitious candidates to move up within the firm.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager and currently at either Senior QS level ready to move up to an Associate role or you will be an Associate QS with another firm of PQS and keen to move to a firm where you will be fully appreciated.

You will need to have spent your career so far working with another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You must have worked as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will be conversant with all pre and post contract duties.

Ideally you will have gained some experience of presentation to clients, networking and being the key contact with clients.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.

You will be ambitious and keen to progress your career to the next level.

Salary is negotiable according to your experience but will be in the range of £70000 to £90000 per annum plus pension, RICS fees and bonus.
