My Local Authority Client in the North West are currently looking for an interim Building Control Team Leader on an initial 6-month contract with the likelihood of extension. They require a Team Leader who can start the contract within 2-3 weeks post interview. 


  • Carry out site inspections for the Council's application process on a mix of properties such as a hospital as well as commercial properties including offices, restaurants, cinemas, and shops.
  • Effectively manage a team of Building Control Surveyors and Officers. 
  • You will need to be either MRICS, MCIOB, or MCABE, and ideally be Fire Safety Level 6 accredited. Essentially, they are looking for a Building Control Surveyor with sufficient experience to hit the ground running on inspections and reporting. 
  • The Council require someone to be in office up to 5 days p/w.
