Quantity Surveyor (PQS)

Peace Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of one of Scotland top privately owned Cost and Project Management Consultancies, we are looking for talented QS's varying in experience from a graduate (2 years post grad) to an experienced Senior MRICS QS's, this role will be based out of their Glasgow office, offering flexible/hybrid working.

This position is due to continued growth across Healthcare, Education, Build to rent, commercial office and Hotel sectors. Our client is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to thrive in a professional environment where your career will see you progress within the business. You can expect to work on projects locally (within the central belt) and some iconic projects worldwide (remotely).

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include: 

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to clients
• Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
• Working as a proactive team player
• Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects
• Undertaking commercial management services
• Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
• Providing support to the team in the cost management of projects
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships

Requirements:

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Ideally MRICS
• Technical delivery experience gained within a construction consultancy
• Pre- and post-contract experience
• Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
• A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible

• Salary from £30,000 (2 years post grad level) to £55,000 (Senior MRICS level)
