Assistant Quantity Surveyor

THE ROLE

I am seeking either an Assistant Quantity Surveyor through to Project Surveyor level to join a firm of PQS in the London SW1 area.

You will work on landlord commercial refurbishments, high grade office fit-outs, multi unit residential, mixed use, luxury hotels, warehouse redevelopments etc.

Projects are generally of high value.

You will work closely with an Associate to either run your own or assist in running projects.

You will work on both pre and post contract QS duties.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying / Cost Management and Project Management services.

They are working on projects both in the UK and in mainland Europe.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You will need to have gained some experience as a Quantity Surveyor - ideally either having done a Year Out during your Degree or post graduation or your could be up to almost taking your APC. You could also be doing your degree on day release and have gained some experience as a QS.

You must have worked as a QS on projects from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will be conversant with pre and post contract duties.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.

Salary is negotiable according to your level of experience but will be in the range of £25000 to £40000 per annum plus pension, RICS fees, bonus and support to become chartered.
