Eden Brown Built Environment are delighted to be the recruitment partner for River Clyde Homes (RCH) for the position of Director of Property Services. Formed in 2007, RCH is an affordable housing provider that owns and manages over 6,000 homes and provides factoring services to a further 2,200 customers in the Inverclyde area.

Progress at RCH has been evident, this underlined by the recent creation of the RCH Group which comprises River Clyde Homes and Home Fix Scotland, a repairs and maintenance company. This has enabled RCH to bring much of the work in-house, carried out by a specialist team. The RCH Group now employs 315 members of staff, including 58 specialist trade operatives.

RCH aim to put their customers at the heart of everything they do and have structures in place to ensure that they have real influence. They also provide more than simple landlord services because they care about the people and the places where they work.

The rarely available role of Property Services Director will make a significant contribution to the growth and development of RCH. The role will involve membership of the Group Executive Leadership Team, management of Property Services Directorate and the delivery of RCH Group vision, values, business plan and objectives.

You will have responsibility for the delivery of the asset management strategy, have budgetary control related to all aspects of property and asset expenditure. You will manage key internal and external relationships on all matters relating to property and associated assets. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and oversee the delivery of property compliance, asset optimisation, investment planning and delivery, environmental management (decarbonisation, sustainability, climate change adaptation) and factoring services to fully comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and meet customer's needs. The collaboration between staff and departments is an important factor in the growth of RCH, as such you will advise the Group CEO, ELT and Board in key leadership areas including all aspects of strategy and operational services planning, delivery and compliance, and the actions and decisions necessary to ensure a positive customer experience of their homes and services.

The key responsibilities for this role include -

Strategic Leadership, People Leadership, Delivery & Impact, Performance Management, External Relationship, Compliance & Control.

Applicants should have Chartered Member status of a recognised professional body, e.g., Institute of Building (CIOB), or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with a degree or post graduate qualification. You will have significant knowledge in the management and/or change management of a substantial asset management portfolio and group compliance functions. It's important that applicants have substantial executive experience of a leading customer facing operations and have a strong track record of leading, engaging and motivating colleagues through transformational periods of change. Finally, candidates should have a clear understanding of the social, regulatory, and political environment within which the RCH Group operates.

If you have the ambition to deliver the RCH Group vision in relation to the post of Property Services Director, then please contact Alasdair Reid on 07909 234350 or Alasdair will be delighted to review the role in greater detail and provide a full job description, discuss the highly competitive salary package and application process.
