Director of Assets, Infrastructure & Property

Salary: £88,648 to £109,506

Location: At Bristol we believe in creating equality of opportunity in the workplace and supporting people to manage their work-life balance; we are therefore open to offering hybrid working arrangements.

Shaping Tomorrow’s Bristol

Vibrant, successful and diverse, Bristol is bursting with history, culture, innovation and bold ideas, it has so much to offer – and an exciting future ahead. Our vision is to play a leading role in driving a city of hope and aspiration where everyone can share in its success.

Reporting to the Executive Director Growth and Regeneration, and working closely with Cabinet Members, you will have the unique opportunity of driving forward the Council's strategic ambitions for assets, infrastructure and property, by overseeing major programmes and projects that will contribute to the future of the city. Working closely with a broad spectrum of partners and external agencies, you will collaborate to deliver the commitments of the Mayor and the Cabinet, as set out in our Corporate Strategy and the One City Plan.

As well as a genuine strategist and motivator, we are looking for an inclusive senior leader who can not only bring the best out of working with multi-faceted services, but enhance them through innovation and drive, developing a cohesive professional division that is focused on outcomes and results.

In this role you will lead the teams responsible for Capital Projects, Waste, Property & FM and the ground-breaking City Leap decarbonisation partnership.

Bristol is a welcoming city which is known for being a great place to live and for doing things a little bit differently. We have a ‘can-do’ attitude, try new things and are really proud of what we’ve got. If this sounds appealing, then we want to hear from you.

We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and minority ethnic, and disabled candidates who are currently under-represented within the Bristol City Council workforce. Appointments will be made on merit.
