Estates Surveyor
Job Location: Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH
Position Type: Full Time / Permanent Position
Salary: BR13 £39,679 to 42,974 pa
This is an exciting time to join the London Borough of Bromley. We are implementing an ambitious programme of transformation that will ensure that Bromley is a fantastic place to live and work, where everyone can lead healthy, safe and independent lives in supportive communities. We will ensure that we have the resilience and resources we need to deliver excellent services, rising to the challenges facing local authorities.
The property function is part way through transformation, moving towards a corporate landlord model for property management.
The Estates Surveyor will join the Estates and Asset Management team with specific responsibility for managing the council’s commercial property portfolio effectively and efficiently and to maximise revenue returns and lease compliance.
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative individual who takes a solutions-based approach to projects and has excellent commercial awareness to ensure that the Council’s estate is used to support the achievement of the Council’s strategic priorities and organisational objectives.
The successful candidate will be able to apply their professional skills under pressure to carry out the acquisition, disposal, letting, valuation and management of a wide range of commercial properties and will have the ability to use Estates Management software to organise and record their work.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact amy.milton@bromley.gov.uk.
