HAYS are proud to be working on a retained basis with Bailey Partnership, an award-winning consultant practice looking to recruit an Assistant Building Surveyor to join their growing Southeast and South Coast teams based in their Sevenoaks or Chichester office. Your new role
As an Assistant Building Surveyor, you will work directly with a Senior Building Surveyor which can include undertaking building surveys centred around the latest Fire Safety Act, and interpreting this into a meaningful package of work. You will be exposed to a variety of work which can include fire stopping, inputting a new fire escape, which may turn into a contractor job which will have to be managed through to completion.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have a genuine passion for property management / building surveying, and be able to balance a multitude of tasks, some of which may be quite substantial. You will have worked within a property management, facilities management, housing management discipline, alternatively acted as an assistant site manager on the contractor side.

This role will offer a starting salary of £35,000 dependent on level of experience. You'll have access to a contributory company pension scheme and generous annual leave contribution. By nature, this role will involve travel to site location, at other times you'll be set-up to work remotely from home, which will be encouraged. However, you may also need to meet with your team or work form an office, at which point you could work from any of Bailey Partnership's network of offices in Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol or Sevenoaks and Chichester.
