Senior Project Surveyor

My client is an award-winning consultancy with over 25 years’ experience. They work collaboratively with clients to deliver sustainable and innovative solutions across the built environment.

I am recruiting for a Senior Project Surveyor to be based within their commercial team in their Birmingham or Leicester office. You will be responsible for advising on all aspects of design and construction and compiling detailed reports for the client.

Within this role your responsibilities will include:

• Managing team members to support in contract administration
• Acting as Employers Agent
• Supervising team work load and allocating accordingly
• Promoting commercial awareness and embedding best practice across the teams
• Site inspections and reporting
• Working in line with budgets, ensuring cost plans and time constraints are met
• Preparation of payments and cashflows
• Preparing contract documents
• Identifying opportunities and risks both internally and externally
• Preparation of cost reports
• Snagging and defect inspections
• Team support across all projects
• Travel to internal and client offices

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role preferably with RICS chartership
• Good knowledge of the construction industry
• Competent user of Microsoft Excel as well as the wider MS software suite of programmes
• Excellent communications skills
• Good problem-solving scheme
• A flexible attitude and self-motivated
