The purpose of this role is to deliver an effective repairs and maintenance service for the university's residential facilities, ensuring that the estate provides a safe environment for living, learning and recreation and delivers a positive student experience.
Our client is a university in Liverpool.
This role is critical to the effective day to day operations and maintenance of the residential services and ensuring that the students have safe living quarters. Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Providing building surveying expertise and specialist knowledge to address maintenance, defects, structural failures and long term management of assets.
- Asses and deliver remedial works schemes, revenue projects and long term programmes in line with the University's residential strategy.
- Develop life cycle works and long term maintenance strategy.
- Ensure that all residential sites are fully compliant with all aspects of statutory compliance and health & regulations.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a Facilities Management or Building Surveying background with experience of using a CAFM system, delivering minor works projects and developing and implementing a life cycle maintenance programme.
Membership of RICS or CIOB would be advantageous for this role.
Due to the nature of this role we are looking for candidates who are able to spend considerable time in Liverpool so you will ideally live in or around the Liverpool region.
A salary of up to £40,000 is on offer and you will also receive fantastic benefits including 38 days holiday and a 30% pension.
