Your new company
HAYS are currently working with a national, award-winning property consultancy, seeking a Building Surveyor to join the team on a permanent basis. Renowned for delivering high profile development to a range of prestigious clients across the UK.

Ideally, the candidate will hold (or be working towards) a Professional Chartered Membership, however support will be given to right candidate and be supported through the process in a bid to gaining chartered status.


Your new role
This is a real opportunity to get involved in a range of different projects undertaking a variety of duties. As a Building Surveyor will take end-to-end ownership of building projects valued from £50k through to £2m, these including building re-purpose works, minor alterations, larger refurbishments, planned maintenance projects and extensions.

You will undertake initial site survey & inspection, before completing required design work, liaising with consultants where required, appointing a contractor and supervising work on site, ensuring works are completed to the required spec, quality and with value for money in mind.


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you will need to have prior experience delivering minor-works projects as a Building Surveyor, undertaking all elements of project delivery including 2D design using AutoCAD. You will have up-to-date knowledge of Building Regulations, H&S and experience in design contract administration


What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a generous package consisting of a salary of £45,000, annual leave, contributory pension and flexible working arrangements - this role can be undertaken from home, with visits to the Devon & Exeter region for meetings and site visits when required.
