What are you the main drivers for someone looking to change jobs?

There are many of course; location can be one, the type of projects, staff, remuneration, maybe just the need for a change of scenery.

Personally, I think a lot of the time it comes down to people feeling like the aren’t valued or rewarded properly for going that extra mile.

Let’s face it, businesses across London are doing everything they can to chase fee’s right now without actually having the resource available, and who usually has to pick up the slack?

This medium sized consultancy based in Mayfair knows at times they ask their staff to work hard but there is no doubt that doesn’t get forgotten – they have one of the best bonus structures that I know of, paid twice a year, every year, pandemic, or no pandemic.

They are also a great bunch, 45 in the office split across QS, PM and BS, they tend to get involved very early on projects and will advise on the development side of things also.

They are currently looking for a Senior QS, and if you are on the lookout and potentially feeling undervalued and would like to look at something new then this could be a great place to start your search.

You would not be sectorised and would be involved on a mix of schemes including residential, hotels, high-end commercial fit-out, industrial - values typically from £5m - £100m.

Character is key, one of their younger equity partners came from a large main contractor so if your experience isn’t typically professional quantity surveying then don’t be put off.

Flexibility is there if you have enjoy working from home, there is also a good mix of experience in the office with a strong male to female ratio.
