Design Manager - Freelance Role working for Plymouth Community Homes - Hybrid Working - 6 Months + extension

Plymouth Community Homes has a £12m per year programme of modernisation and improvements to our stock of 14,500 properties. This include works to meet our net zero carbon target and improvements that ensure the homes we provide are decent and attractive places for our residents to live.
Your new role
The primary purpose of the Design Manager is to manage the design process for major refurbishment projects at PCH properties. You will work with external consultant designers as well as our in-house design team. Your role will be to ensure the designers are properly briefed and the project well planned and coordinated to include excellent communication with stakeholders. You will monitor progress, quality, and cost forecasts so that we get the best possible result, delivered on time and within budget.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have previous experience in preparing design briefs, requesting quotes and tenders for design briefs, ensuring design documentation covers a wider scope of works required by project managers.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an initial contract with an initial 6 months in duration, which is highly likely to extend beyond this point. You'll receive a competitive hourly or daily rate of pay, on a weekly basis.
