I am working with a Local Authority based in South West England who are looking for a Property Surveyor to come in and manage of their new investment portfolio.

Client Details

My client is a Public Sector and Government organisation based in the South West of England.

Description

The key responsibilities of the property surveyor are to deliver a range of services and will engage directly with tenants, external agents, surveyors and lawyers in the following areas:

- Rent reviews
- Lease renewals and restructures
- Managing lease expiries and dilapidation settlements
- Overseeing letting agents and external solicitors through new lease legal due diligence
- Dealing with tenants' applications to alter, assign and sublet
- Monitoring rent collection by the council's finance department and external agents
- Approving service charge budgets prepared by external agents
- Property inspections and monitoring tenant lease and statutory compliance

Profile

The successful Proeprty Surveyor Candidate will be / have:

  • A Degree in Estate management or equivalent.
  • Post qualification experience working in a commercial organisation or local authority with relevant investment and development experience.
  • Knowledge of the various methods of marketing, disposal and acquisition of land and buildings
  • Good persuasion and influencing skills and experience of planning work activities within general professional guidelines and Council's policies.

    On offer to the successful Property Surveyor candidate are:

    A starting salary of between £34,000 and £3700 (dependant on experience)
