Advert text:

The University of Cambridge Estates Division is looking to recruit two Project Leaders to join the Projects Section in delivering multi-million pound new-build and refurbishment projects.

The Projects Section currently manages a programme comprising Minor Works and Major Projects with a combined expenditure of between £150m to 200m each year. The projects range from highly specialised research facilities through to laboratory space, teaching facilities and offices with single project upper value of around £100m. Minor Works Projects typically range from £50k to £2m.

Candidates should have excellent inter-personal and communications skills and sound knowledge of a project delivery, ideally in a complex user and multi-stakeholder environment. In addition, candidates should have demonstrable experience in managing the commercial and cost management aspects of projects.

The successful candidates will have a proven track record in the delivery of projects in a complex environment; experience in the Higher Education sector would be helpful but not essential. You should hold a degree or equivalent in a construction-related discipline or have suitable alternative experience. You will also hold a suitable professional qualification or be working towards this. This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Security check.
