My client, a long established firm of construction consultants seeks a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER to join them in OXFORDSHIRE to work on a range of construction projects including new build, refurbishment and fit out.
Projects include private schools, universities including student accommodation, life sciences and high tech projects.
You will carry out the full range of project management duties throughout all stages of the projects from feasibility, acquisition, design, construction, handover etc.
You will be responsible for helping clients appoint the consultant teams plus agreeing fees and services, preparing risk management and procurement strategies for clients.
You will be able to run projects without supervision and work closely with the Partner in expanding this department.

My client is a fairly large firm of construction consultants with several UK offices. They are long established and provide project management, building surveying, construction health & safety and other similar services to a range of private and public sector clients.
You will need to have a BSc or BSc Hons or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or another construction / built environment subject.
You are likely to be MRICS, MCIOB or MAPM or similarly qualified.
It will be essential for you to have your own transport as my client is around three miles outside of Oxford and also to get to client and consultants offices and to site. There is plenty of free parking available at my client's office.
You will need to have a minimum of around three years or more post graduation relevant project management experience within the construction industry having worked for another firm of construction consultants or with a multi-disciplinary consultants as a project manager.
You will becoming involved in all aspects of construction projects representing the client from feasibility, through acquisition, design, construction and handover.
You will be keen to carve out a career with a growing project management department of an established firm of construction consultants, be able to run your own projects and be the main contact for clients.
You will need to have a stable work record along with excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
You should be highly ambitious and keen to either step up to a Senior level role or be at Senior level currently and be keen to work alongside the partner to build up this department.
Salary will be in the region of £60000 to £75000 depending on your experience and there are a number of benefits including pension contribution, 50ppm and other benefits.
