Job description

The Challenge

If you are a suitably experienced and qualified property professional who enjoys working on a wide range of exciting, interesting and diverse responsibilities and have a passion to be stretched and challenged then the DIO Estates Department is for you……

Within the Estates Team you will be involved wide breadth and variety of professional work on this high-profile public estate.

The MOD Estate is vast, covering about 1.8% of the United Kingdom land mass. The estate includes approximately 50,000 houses, 80,000 technical assets such as runway networks. It also includes 860 listed buildings, 770 scheduled monuments, 10000 archaeological and electrical monuments, 170 Sites of Special Scientific Interest, and eight registered gardens and parks.

 

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Estate Surveyor to join and lead established team in the Gloucestershire/ Bristol area within our Estates network. You will be a customer focused team leader and will deliver exciting and varied estate surveying programmes, services, and professional advice across all customers.

The MOD Estate is wide and varied including military establishments, historic buildings, listed buildings, and commercial tenants. On this unique Estate variety is certain and no 2 days will be the same!

The DIO Senior Estate Surveyor Role is responsible to the Military Heads of Establishment for property related management including; negotiations to grant and acquire new lease agreements, negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals and any other property related agreements.

Qualifications

A relevant Estate Surveying degree or equivalent qualification.

 

Memberships

Full Membership of an appropriate estates professional body (i.e Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - MRICS/FRICS).
