Our office in Dublin is recruiting for an Economist/Research Analyst to join the Research & Insights team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in local and global economic trends. They will have an ability to apply their economic understanding to the commercial property market and communicate market movements with this viewpoint. They will be detail orientated, a strong team player, inquisitive by nature and a good communicator, both written and verbally.

Job Description

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Keep abreast with latest economic statistics and publications to form a rounded market view

  • Work closely with other departments to collect, maintain and analyse internal property market databases

  • Write quarterly/bi-annual research reports for assigned market sectors

  • Draft press releases for release of research statistics

  • Work closely with internal teams to aid on pitch documents, presentations and information requests

  • Build relationships with stakeholders across multiple teams/sectors both within Ireland and within the wider Cushman & Wakefield network

  • Seek out fresh views and trends in market statistics to improve research quality

  • Address queries accurately and work with other departments to provide value to clients

  • Support and assist Chief Economist, Head of Research & Insights in ad-hoc queries and bespoke reports

  • Support and assist Chief Economist, Head of Research & Insights in internal and external client presentations

  • Act as a mentor for junior members of the team

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A master’s in economics, or similar qualification

  • 2-3 years’ post graduate experience, preferably in commercial real estate

  • Knowledge of Irish or European property market

  • Experience of presentation and report writing

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Confidence working with data and performing analytical tasks

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Competence in Microsoft Excel and, preferably, PowerBI and GIS

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Proven ability to work towards deadlines and have a flexible approach
