I’m currently working with the Building Surveying department of an established Property Management Company, with a portfolio comprising prestigious residential properties in West London, who are looking to add a Chartered Building Surveyor to the team.

Ideally you will be Chartered and have at least 3 years post-qualification experience, with working knowledge and understanding of both the construction and the pathology of period and post-war residential properties.

You will need to be familiar with and working with:

  • JCT suite of contracts, with administration experience using JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2016. Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015. Licences to Alter.

You will also have an understanding in building pathology of residential properties. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: -

  • Design & Specification and Contract Administration Major Works projects. Acting a CDM Principal Designer. Dilapidations, Condition and Defects survey inspections/reports. Tender analysis and tender reports. Compiling Capex reports and Planned Maintenance Programmes. Compiling and submitting Listed Building Consent and Planning Applications. Acting as Party Wall surveyor. Expediting all stages of a License to Alter. Implementing all aspects of Legal and Regulatory Compliance: S20 Notice procedure, Local Authority Planning Applications/Listed Building Consents. Attending/Chairing Client meetings. Close liaison with our Property Management section: carrying out inspections as required, identifying defects and reporting accordingly.

In return you will be offered a very strong salary and benefits package and be joining a busy, vibrant and exciting team, based in the heart of The City.
