An opening has arisen for an experienced Land Agent within the Central Area Catchment Management Team based in Slaidburn, near Clitheroe. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join us and in particular to manage the company’s Estate portfolio including tenanted farms, grazing lets, sporting, recreational and commercial tenancies.
A crucial aspect of the role is to act as agent to promote sustainable land management to protect the quality of raw water resources derived from our upland catchments. The successful applicant will exercise a high degree of discretion in developing and implementing strategies to optimise the economic, environmental and social benefits generated from our landholdings. You will be involved in most aspects of rural land management including agri-environment schemes, supporting biodiversity aims, improving wildlife habitats and facilitating water catchment regeneration schemes and other capital investment and maintenance work across the estate.
We require a qualified Chartered Surveyor, with a relevant degree and a suitable level of experience in Rural Estate Management, especially upland farming and sporting interests. You will possess knowledge and experience of estate planning and management, have excellent IT and negotiation skills. You will be part of a small land management team. You should possess a full driving licence.
As a FTSE 100 company, United Utilities offers excellent remuneration, including an attractive salary, bonus scheme and other benefits that come with this key role.
