My client is look for several chartered surveyors to join their team to undertake commercial, residential & development valuations. Ideally, you will focus on commercial valuation work, however, if you specialise in more, additional sector work can be provided. My client offers complete autonomy over work and the amount you do is entirely your call. For instance, if you only wanted to carry out commercial valuation reports you could hypothetically do 2 reports a week and gross circa £3k. You will be home based so strong self-discipline to carry out the work will be essential.
My client carries out valuation work across London and the home counties, with a lot of work being inside the M25. The successful candidates will preferably be over 3 years PQE and a registered valuer. 80% of the work carried out is long-form red book reports (circa 40 pages) with occasional short-form too. The work is very varied, ranging from office, retail, industrial, multi-units, houses & flats. The value of the properties valued is between £200,000 - £40,000,000. Work is mostly undertaken for bridging lenders, private banks, specialist lenders & short-term lending with clients including:
- Handelsbanken, KB, Close Brothers
My client has recently intertwined with a Dubai based firm which will allow for instructions from Middle Eastern banks. It also provides the opportunity for the successful candidate to move to the Middle East to work out there if they so wish to do so. Additional info can be provided on their partnership.
Due to the autonomy of the role the number of reports you carry out is entirely your decision, however, you wouldn’t be expected to carry out more than 8 in a week (commercial & residential). My client takes pride in quality over quantity. You won’t need to win work as there is a dedicated business development director on hand to provide you with your instructions. All work is focussed towards your own logistics so you don’t have to travel far to carrying out valuations.
