In line with continued demand for services and expansion Vospers Friend & Falcke are seeking a senior surveyor.
The company, a member of the Goldman Sachs 10k small business expansion group, recently formed by the merger of Vospers and Friend & Falcke, both chartered surveying firms, is a privately owned multidisciplinary practice which largely undertakes residential survey and valuations but is also expanding into the expert witness/litigation and commercial advisory markets.
With its main administrative office in Farnham, Surrey, the company operates from offices in London Kensington, Reading Thames Valley and Horsham. The company covers the central London, south-west London, Surrey, Berkshire and East Hampshire areas.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The company is seeking a senior surveyor (or surveyors) to service the expanding demand for residential survey and valuations within our geographical area. Ideally, this will be a full-time appointment, but we will consider applicants seeking a part-time position.
The role will involve carrying out valuations and the provision of Level 2 Survey reports and , ideally, Level 3 surveys. Some residential secured lending valuations may also be required (dependent upon experience and qualification). Our work is predominantly derived from private clients although we are developing good relations with a number of lending institutions and merchant banks.
On a day-to-day basis you will value and survey a wide spectrum of residential properties throughout our area of operation. Although attached to our Farnham office the company has adopted flexible working practices, the priority being on ensuring a high level of client service and satisfaction.
DUTIES:
The role will entail all aspects of Surveys and Valuation and will include, but not be limited to:
The production of L2 HomeSurveys and L3 Surveys (ideally)
Valuations (including Red Book Valuations if VRS Registered)
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Minimum of MRICS orAssocRICS
Preferably VRS registered (support would be given to attain registration if required)
Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential surveying
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate in a professional manner with all clients. Excellent spoken and written English language skills
Ability to work unsupervised and manage own workload to meet deadlines
A high levelof ITcompetency
Full driving licence and own roadworthy vehicle required
