Capital Project Manager

Oundle School

Have you thought about working Client side?

Working to deliver a world class service and not just to appease the bottom line of a spreadsheet.

If you’d like your projects to leave a legacy, then this might be the client-side position you’ve been looking for.

If you’re looking to move across from consultancy, then the Director has walked in your shoes; It always helps when you work with someone who’s on the same page.

Let me tell you about the organisation….

Oundle School is one of the UK’s leading independent and day boarding schools.

Throughout the town are their 160 prestigious buildings. With their charming, listed buildings, as well as their £24 million Sports Centre opened in 2020, they bring a unique and distinctive character to modern independent school education.

With constant growth and plans to expand further, this is where you come in.

You’ll take the lead on both the redevelopment of an old primary school to 60 bed girls boarding house (£12m), and a large day house refurbishment housing 240 pupils (£2m). As the backbone of the entire programme, responsibilities span to cover all areas of project management from inception to completion.

These projects will be your babies and you’ll get the freedom to deliver.

If you have a track record in delivering complex major construction projects and be a natural with stakeholder engagement, then this role is for you.

This position will be on an initial 3-year fixed-term contract, which will give you added flexibility. If you’ve never worked client side before, you’ll get to try it out first.

As a member of staff at Oundle, you are rewarded with a generous pension, 33 days annual leave + school closure days, use of all their leading sports facilities, and a free lunch. Oundle can also offer flexible working to work around you.

If you’re looking to explore client-side opportunities, and lead on unique projects, I would like to speak to you. Apply below, or if your cv isn’t up to date, drop me a message on LinkedIn (Sasha Brown) for an informal chat.
