Graduate Surveyor – Estate Management – London
£25,000 - £40,000 + benefits
Principal Purpose of Job
Our clients London office provides services to a wide range of private/public sector clients.
To assist with all aspects of Estate Management work for several local authority clients for a variety of
premises. Other related activities in connection with the Council’s commercial interests.
Specific Duties and Details of Actual Work
1. Provide general Estate Management services to the Investment and corporate portfolios including, but
not limited to, dealing with assignments, sub-lettings, licences for consent, supervision of contractors
and re-possessions.
2. To discharge all services in connection with vacant properties including, but not limited to, security,
marketing, conducting viewings, negotiations, legal monitoring and client reporting.
3. Dealing with day to day management issues including property inspections and repairs.
4. Assisting with the collating and submitting of the monthly property report and attendance of progress
meetings as required.
5. Instructing and liaising with Client Accounts team in respect of amendments, rent raising, credit control
etc
6. To assist a large and varied caseload of rent reviews and lease renewals for public sector clients
7. To represent our client and demonstrate an understanding of the range of property related services available to clients.
8. To promote business of other client service lines (cross selling)
9. Any other duties commensurate with this level of post.
Qualifications/Experience
1. Strong client relationship skills.
2. Practical understanding of public sector, commercial property and surveying procedures.
3. Strong verbal & numerical skills and adept at report writing.
4. Ability to work under pressure, manage time and assist the team in meeting deadlines.
5. Commercial acumen, knowledge of competitors, business strategies / tactics.
Physical Conditions
The post holder will be based at the London office but must be prepared to travel to sites on a regular basis.
Job Development
All employees are expected to keep abreast of developments in legislation and property regulations and
must therefore be prepared to continually update their knowledge. All surveyors must satisfy the Continual
Professional Development requirements of the RICS. Professional training towards the APC is included.
