Position: Senior Assets Management Strategy Officer  

Permanent Contract

Full time (37 hours per week)

Salary: AR8 - £37,568 to £44,624 per annum plus essential car user allowance

Location: Leek & Buxton, Hybrid working

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an new role as Senior Assets Management Strategy Officer within High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council Alliance, working across the Council’s boundaries across the beautiful Peak District and surrounding areas.

Working as part of a busy team within the Asset Management Service, you will support the Head of Asset Management to develop a revised Asset Management Policy, Strategy and Action Plan to ensure that the Corporate Objectives and Priorities of the Council are met through the best use of its assets.

Ideally you will have had experience of strategic asset management and/or property project planning, preferably in a Public Sector environment, though applications would be welcome from applicants with experience in other sectors.

The successful applicant will take the lead in developing the Council’s strategy to decarbonise its properties. They will seek out opportunities and knowledge to assist the Council in reaching is climate change aspirations including pursuing suitable external funding opportunities as well as inputting into the Council's future financial forecasting and budget setting arrangements.

You will have an analytical approach and be able to undertake option appraisals and develop business cases. You will have proven experience of working with bespoke asset management  IT systems and Microsoft Office.

To be successful in the role you will be driven to delivery high quality services to service uses and be able to develop collaborative relationships with partner organisations, internal services, Council members and other stakeholders.
