Job Details

Who wants unremarkable?

Predictable, run-of-the-mill, bog-standard, there are more words, but you probably get my point…

Your 9-5 job is fine, but the paperwork is starting to take over your life, and that commuter train is getting busier by the day…

Well, who wants that?

Not when you can have bold, exciting and different!

So, Head of Estates, read on and see if this ticks some of those boxes.

  • Driving forward the Capital Works program across the Schools Group
  • True Autonomy, you will hit the ground running and make a difference from day 1
  • The opportunity to create your own plans and structures throughout the Estates department
  • Generous pay and benefits scheme
  • 1 day in the office a week (sometimes less!)

Here you will be working alongside the Central Team, taking the lead in shaping and coordinating the Estates Department moving forward.

As mentioned, a large part of the role focuses on the Trust capital works. You will work alongside the contracted Project Manager to prioritise, budget and plan works across the schools Group.

You will have direct line responsibility of 3 people in your team, but each school has its own Caretaker or site team (depending on size of the school), so you’ve got people to rely on.  You will also be working closely with the new Trust Health & Safety manager.

You will not be starting from scratch with this role either, a lot of the processes needed are already in place.  This being said, they are open to change, so you will have plenty of use for your creativity as you will helping to create a new long-term Estates strategy.

I promise you, no more clock watching in this role.

It’s a fast-paced and definitely needs someone who can see the bigger picture – it’s much more than just a desk job & because of this ideally you will have a surveying background.

TKAT also works on a flexible basis, so each week is your own to set up, one week you may be working from home, the next on site and the next popping into the office. You will have to be a self-starter as this is a very autonomous role.

So, if this has ticked some boxes, apply below or look me up on Linkedin (Bekah Pauley). I appreciate your CV might not be up to date so send me what you have, and we can discuss further.

Oyster Partnership have partnered exclusively with TKAT. Any direct or third-party applications will be forwarded to Oyster Partnership.
