Unique

The definition: “Being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else.”

I’m sure you know what the word means, but sometimes, when you have something truly unique, it’s good to remind people.

& What is so unique you ask?

Coram’s Fields.

In the heart of West London, there is a park.  This park is 7 acres of open space, including a playground, sports pitches, a wildlife area & community growing spaces, which welcomes around 150,000 visitors every year.

What I haven’t mentioned is the listed buildings, which are the only lasting remains of the Foundling Hospital built in 1739. These buildings are home to a wealth of community services, providing essential support for children, young people and families

What makes this place completely different is that the park exists for the sole benefit of children and young people & has done so for 86 years (Sorry sunbathers, this is not one for you!).

Not only is the place individual, the opportunity is too as you will be joining the company at a pivotal moment in their plans.

As their first Buildings and Facilitlies Manager, you will be responsible for every aspect of Coram’s Fields buildings, grounds and facilities management.

You won’t be alone hoever, as you’ll manage a team of seven, including a Senior Grounds Person, Sports Facilities Coordinator and a team of grounds and sport facilities workers.

The job is part desk based and part hands on, you can’t be afraid to get ‘stuck in’.  Due to this, a background ‘ on the tools’ or being good at quick fixes is a plus!

You will be responsible for creating and carrying out preventative maintenance programmes also managing budgets and resources effectively.

As a key part of the senior management team, you’ll contribute to the future plans of the charity, working closely with the CEO to identify capital priorities and future Estates planning.  You’ll also work with the Fundraising Manager, to secure investment for these to further enhance the facilities they provide.

If this is something you’d like to know more about, then please apply below or look me up on LinkedIn (Bekah Pauley).
