Building Surveyor

Excellent opportunity for an ambitious Building Surveyor to join a growing and dynamic multidisciplinary consultancy based in the heart of Essex.

Company Headcount: 200 - 250

Typical Projects: Defence, Healthcare, Education, Residential, Commercial, Retail and Leisure.

Role of the Building Surveyor:

Help prepare specifications and documents to enable projects to be tendered and to gain accurate costs from contractors.Assist in preparation of any necessary building regulation or planning applications and monitor and deal with as necessary through discussions with the necessary authorities.Draw, design and specify varying sizes of projects.Assessment of tenders and make recommendations to clientDeliver all administration of the construction contract.Control expenditure and ensure that schemes are completed within budget/on time.Negotiate and settle final accounts with Contractors.

Requirements of the Building Surveyor:

Degree in Building SurveyingChartered membership with RICS or working towards chartered status.Project management experience.Multi-sector experience.Advanced NBS specification writing.
