Job Details

I am working with one of the UK's leading independent Property Consultancy's to source an outstanding candidate for their Property Management department, to join as a Facilities Manager.

Role Overview

  • To manage the service delivery across the broad portfolio of properties located primarily in Scotland
  • Point of contact for the clients and occupiers ensuring delivery of a high standard of customer experience
  • Manage supplier partners and monitoring performance, including assessment through SLA's & KPI's
  • To attend tenant meetings with Surveyors on a regular basis
  • To input as required into client reporting
  • To provide leadership support and direction to on site contracted support staff
  • To ensure compliance in respect of Health and Safety and Statutory Legislation and manage H&S document records
  • To assist management team to drive continuous improvement in service levels
  • Oversee all FM related projects and service charges
  • To provide technical leadership for all aspects of FM
  • To assist with administration of procurement of site contracts, supplies and equipment
  • To code and first approve all invoices
  • To participate in all relevant operational initiatives
  • Management the development and implementation of site procedures and policies.

Main Duties

  • To assist in achieving compliance with Health and Safety objectives
  • To promote best practice throughout the team
  • Ongoing management of service contracts including regular meetings to ensure compliance with contract terms and required standards are achieved
  • To assist in keeping service charge costs within the prescribed budgets set for each property
  • Inspection of buildings' structures to determine the need for maintenance and reactive repairs
  • Planning and coordination of projects and all maintenance and repair activities
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Exeperience of managing the delivery of Facilities Management services
  • Experience of working with direct and outsourced service delivery teams
  • Experience of the property, facilities and construction industries
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable)
  • Membership of IOSH
  • Full membership of BIFM (desirable)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills
