Assistant Estate Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, dynamic, and pragmatic individual to join our team as our Assistant Estate Manager.

Together with the Estate Manager, this post will be responsible for the successful management of the Earl of Derby’s Estates. This will include the in-hand and let property portfolio together with associated activities including in-hand farming, forestry, and sporting. The property portfolio is dominated by good quality grade I arable land, an extensive stock of residential property and a substantial commercial development (Stanley Grange Business Village) which is a conversion of former home farm buildings. There are also a number of strategic planning opportunities across the portfolio which require promotion and progression in order to release value to the Estate. In addition, there is the Crag Estate, near Macclesfield, Cheshire which extends to 3,995 acres and comprises a productive grouse moor, holiday lets and residence for the family, and let hill farms. The Estate Office also assists with any filming and events in the wider estate.

Our ideal candidate will be MRICS with 1-5 years Post Qualification experience, preferably Rural, however we may consider a graduate surveyor with a rural land management qualification.
