Agricultural Business Consultant | Work From Home | Oxfordshire
Come and provide 1-2-1 advice to farmers and landowners, with a focus on farm resilience, carbon audits, and wider strategic advice.
As part of a small but established team, there is scope for immediate work to be undertaken plus training in your area of interest and career progression within the company.
The Company
Having been running for decades, they are an established and respected firm but with a modern and forward-thinking outlook.
Farm advice has had to evolve to meet its clients' needs and this firm have been at the forefront of change.
With multiple offices around the country, they are large enough to take on a diverse range of work while remaining small enough that you will be known to the rest of the team and be treated as an individual.
The team in Oxford is a small self-sufficient one without a physical office in Oxford as this is a work from home role.
The Role
Working as a farm consultant, you will be out and about meeting farmers and providing practical business advice around diversification, available grants, and environmental schemes.
Currently there is the newly created Future Farming Resilience Fund to get your teeth into along with the more conventional work of a farm consultant.
Your time will be split meeting growers on a face-to-face basis, discussing issues and long term possibilities, and time back at your home office preparing reports with detailed information and alternative options for the business.
There are different levels of work depending on your experience, from 4 years' experience up to future directors.
The Ideal Candidate
This role is perfect for a consultant who is looking for greater career opportunities and to break out of siloed work practices. The company will encourage you to take on new challenges and have full ownership of your projects.
You will be naturally inquisitive and confident in talking to growers and discussing their issues with the ability to provide informed advice both verbally and in writing.
This isa flexible role with a high level of autonomy but with the support of a company which can provide training and career progression into a more management role.
How to Apply
If this sounds like the opportunity for you, then please apply via the link or if you have any queries, please get in touch.
