Senior Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward thinking Surveyor to join us working within a client delivery group working across government occupier clients within our Global Occupier Services (GOS) team. This role will primarily work within transaction and occupier management, collaborating with other skill lines across the Cushman & Wakefield Group as required.

This is a great opportunity for a MRICS qualified Surveyor to join a detailed and interesting account while providing exceptional service delivery in the provision of estate and asset management services.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • To support the effective running and management of an operational commercial property portfolio
  • To manage and oversee the negotiation process from disposals and acquisitions within transactions
  • Liaison with clients and 3rd parties i.e. landlords and their agents to ensure uninterrupted use of the client’s premises, effectively acting as the intermediary between landlord and tenant
  • Identify and drive through cost saving and capital raising opportunities, working with client team and other 3rd parties as appropriate
  • Manage exit strategies for freehold and leasehold properties being vacated
  • Proactively manage and report against key leasehold diary events, liaising with Cushman & Wakefield skill lines
  • Manage and liaise with other Cushman & Wakefield teams and other professionals to provide a full service to the client
  • Direct and frequent client contact and reporting

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Up to date knowledge of legislation regarding property management
  • Demonstrable technical competence in property management
  • Awareness of basic property accounting
  • Basic IT skills (word-processing and spreadsheets)
  • Likely to possess 2 years plus post-qualification experience
  • General practice background for or within either a corporate, public sector or private practice
