Head of Property
£50,000 - £60,000
Glasgow

Wasps, Scotland’s leading artist studio provider, has a rarely available opportunity now open to lead our Property Team. An established charity, this post is a permanent role to oversee the management, maintenance and strategic development of Wasps’ estate across the length and breadth of Scotland – currently a diverse portfolio of 20 buildings.

The role will be based in Glasgow, providing services to around 1,000 creative people. This is a unique opportunity to develop your property career at a national level, while supporting Scotland’s largest cultural community, a network of professional artists, designers and creative industries, supported by a team of Property Managers based across Scotland.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation – we have recently opened the second phase of Inverness Creative Academy – a £6m project to transform two Victorian school buildings in Inverness City Centre into the region’s first creative hub – and we will shortly be opening Granton Station Creative Works, a partnership project with City of Edinburgh Council to revitalise the former Granton Gas Works Railway Station and lay the cornerstone for the new Granton Waterfront masterplan. We are also in the design stages of a £6m project at The Briggait to refurbish and bring back into use over 1,200sqm of floor space as flexible market halls facing on to the River Clyde.

We are also underway with plans to modernise our property portfolio in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and the post holder will play a vital role in delivering our strategic objectives in these cities, alongside our Chief Executive Officer.
