The Estates Operations section sits within the University's Estates Division and is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the University's Operational and Non-Operation Estate. We have a new opportunity for a Estates Surveyor to join the Property Team.
The Estate Surveyor is responsible for undertaking the professional management of both the operational and non-operational property held by the University under the supervision of the Commercial Estates Surveyor. They are to derive the maximum benefit for the University from the various property related assets held whilst taking into account operational requirements. They will undertake property and market related research, preserve the University's assets, provide professional advice on all aspects of property management, acquisition and disposal and maintain an up-to-date appreciation of the state of the local and national commercial property markets and changes in legislation by networking with local agents and property professionals.
The ideal candidate will be a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors with post-qualification experience. They will have practical property experience gained in either public and/or commercial sectors dealing with the full range of property related work including the acquisition, management, letting and disposal of commercial property and residential property. They will need to have the ability and aptitude gain an understanding of the workings of the University and Colleges and their decision making processes. They will need to hold a valid driving licence in order to undertake site visits.
