Interim / temporary job with permanent potential. Team Leader / supervisor for Repairs in Housing Association

A large Housing Association with stock across the East and West Midlands are looking to appoint a Team Leader/ Supervisor managing day to day responsive repairs


MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead a team who are responsible for delivering responsive repairs and voids in our homes. Your team are responsible for managing our repairs contractors and ensuring the delivery of a customer focused, effective and value for money service, reflecting the highest standards of service excellence. You will be managing a team of Repair Surveyors and external contractors

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise and support your team to tightly monitor our contractor's performance to ensure that works are completed on time, within budget constraints and that they meet out quality requirements. Ensure that any non-performance is addressed promptly and in accordance with agreed procedures.
2. To be responsible for the accuracy, quality and integrity of contract administration data and reporting data.
3. To continually review and develop the auditing/reporting framework, maintaining formal auditing documents and tracking the progress of issue resolution.
4. To extract and manipulate data from key contract administration systems to inform contract management and reporting.
5. Assist your manager to forecast, monitor and control all budgets within the function, recommending and taking remedial action where necessary.
6. Understand the requirements of customers and stakeholders and ensure that our service meets agreed standards.
7. Ensure that your team consult customers and colleagues prior to work taking place and that they keep them informed of progress. Ensure that your team respond to all enquiries within agree timeframes.
8. Ensure that any escalations are dealt with in timely way, ensuring that appropriate decisions are made to prevent service failure.
9. Coordinate complaints responses, ensuring these are dealt with sensitively and robustly and in accordance with the Group's policy, using feedback to contribute to continuous improvement.
10. Develop strong relations with colleagues across other teams and work collaboratively to deliver positive outcomes.
11. Ensure that all statutory health and safety requirements are adhered to and any health and safety tasks are prioritised and completed within agreed timeframes.



What you'll need to succeed
HNC level education or equivalent through relevant training/experience
Knowledge of repairs and maintenance and ability to examine the condition of buildings and advise on ways to improve them.
Experience of contract Management within Social Housing
Competent knowledge of IT systems
Ability to collate performance information and undertake detailed data analysis and manipulation
Ability to build positive relations with all stakeholders
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of health and safety 
Ability to monitor delegated budgets
